RMAC squads shut out of region tourney at Tiara Rado

No Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams qualified for the women’s NCAA Division II West Region golf tournament next week at Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction.

Hee-Leina Kim of CSU-Pueblo is one of four players to qualify as individuals.

St. Edward’s (Texas), Tarleton State (Texas), Grand Canyon (Ariz.), Dallas Baptist, Midwestern State (Texas), Newman College (Texas), Cal State-Monterey Bay, Academy of Art (Calif.) and Sonoma State (Calif.) will compete in the super regional for the team championship.

Kim, Haley Dunn of Dixie State (Utah), Glory Jangthongsiri of West Texas A&M and Flower Castillo of Incarnate Word (Texas) qualified as individuals.

The 54-hole super regional is May 5-7. The top three teams and top three individuals not on those teams advance to the 72-hole national tournament May 15-18 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
