Rubalcaba to receive Denver Post Gold Helmet award

Grand Junction High School senior quarterback Sean Rubalcaba is the 2011 Denver Post Gold Helmet award winner, Grand Junction High School announced today.

The award is presented annually to Colorado’s top senior football player, scholar and citizen. The winner must make the Denver Post first team All-State, maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average with a strong academic base and have a proven commitment to his community as well as demonstrate high character.
