Mesa took a 2-1 lead after doubles but fell behind 3-2 after dropping matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Max Lindqvist, though, won a three-setter at
No. 3 singles, with Will Agritelley doing the same at No. 4, setting up Martin’s thriller after Metro won the No. 5 singles match.

The women’s team lost all three doubles matches and fell 6-3 to Metro, ending its fall season 3-3. Freshman Kristen Kirby, though, won a three-set battle at No. 1 singles with a 10-8 victory in the third set. Emily Beckley won at No. 3 singles and Taylor Hershey at No. 5, both winning third-set tiebreakers.
