Shelton State returning to JUCO

Shelton State (Ala.) College swept through the Alabama Community College Conference baseball tournament, defeating Wallace State-Hanceville 4-1 in today’s championship game.

The Bucs (37-21) qualified for the Alpine Bank Junior College World Series for the first time since 2009 and are the fifth team in the 2012 field, joining Polk State (Fla.), Neosho College (Kan.), San Jacinto College-North and Cisco College (Texas).
