Central High School’s Clay Kame mug

Editor’s Note: The Daily Sentinel Student-Athlete of the Week is selected by the school’s athletic director. Central’s Randy Powell selected Clay Kame, who has a 3.78 grade-point average. The honor will rotate among the four School District 51 high schools.

Student-Athlete: Clay Kame

School: Central

Sport: Boys basketball

GPA: 3.78

Future: I want to (play basketball) at a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference school.

What’s your major? Business management or sports management.

Why? I want to get into coaching, maybe college coaching.

As a three-sport athlete, what do you do during your rare free afternoons? I get caught up on school work or do active rest (shooting baskets).

Favorite subject: Science, particularly Biology.

Smart-Jockspeak: “I know a lot of coaches have gone through business management or sports management. I may teach to start (my career).”
