Youth hockey

Kids invited to try hockey for free

Glacier Ice Arena will host a Try Hockey Free clinic from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Saturday for boys and girls 4 to 9 years old.

The clinic is aimed at kids who want to try ice hockey for the first time and learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment. Glacier Ice Arena also will the help kids with their equipment needs.

To register, visit http://www.TryHockeyForFree.com, where the first 40 registrants will receive a USA Hockey jersey, or call Tom Harmon at 970-242-7465. All participants will receive a ticket to the Colorado Mesa University home game that starts at 7 p.m. Saturday.
