Colorado Mesa remained No. 2 in the USA Today/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rankings Tuesday, one of only two undefeated teams in Division II women’s basketball.

The Mavericks (19-0, 15-0 RMAC) received two first-place votes, but Bentley (Mass.) University (20-0) is the overwhelming No. 1, with 30 of the 32 first-place votes. Bentley received 798 points in the voting, with the Mavericks receiving 763 points.

Gannon (Pa.) University (20-1) is third with 712 points. Another South Central Region team, West Texas A&M
(17-1) received 671 points and is ranked fifth, up one spot from last week.

Colorado Mesa puts its school-record 19-game winning streak on the line Friday at Black Hills State (S.D.), which is tied for third in the RMAC at 10-9, 9-6 in the conference. The Mavericks play at last-place Chadron State (Neb.) on Saturday.
