Central High seeks boys golfers

New Central High School boys golf coach Mike Hirons is looking for players to join the golf program.

Bingaman second after first round of Western Chapter tournament

 

Brandon Bingaman of Montrose shot an even-par 72 and sits in second-place, two strokes off the lead, going into today’s final round of the Colorado Golf Association Western Chapter Championship at Battlement Mesa Golf Club.

Bingaman, who plays golf at Colorado Mesa University, trails only Connor Rakowski, the 2010 winner of the tourney. Bingaman finished third a year ago.

Defending champion Keith Humerickhouse shot a 74 on Saturday. Sean Forey of Bear Creek Golf Cub shot 74 and leads the senior division by a stroke over Scott Sullivan of Bookcliff Country Club.
