Former ‘Dogs pitcher signs with Blinn

Former Palisade High School student-athlete Tyler Day has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Blinn (Texas) College in Brenham, Texas.

The senior is a pitcher for Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio. The Jaguars (15-3) are ranked No. 1 in San Antonio by the San Antonio Express-News.

Blinn (23-11) is picked to finish third in the National Junior College Athletic Association Southern District this season behind defending national champion Navarro (Texas) College and San Jacinto (Texas) College-North.

Blinn has made five JUCO World Series appearances, most recently in 1992.
