Youth Wrestling

Six Outlaws place at state tournament

Six Colorado Outlaw wrestlers placed in the Colorado State Championships last weekend at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

Dawson Collins won the 12-under, 70-pound state title. It was his fourth youth state wrestling title.

Luke Pleasant placed third in 12U, 70 pounds; Dre Martinez was third in 12U, 91 pounds and Noah Hone was third in 10U, 75 pounds.

Davian Sandoval was fourth in the 10-under, 70-pound division and Jagger Wade was fourth in the 12-under, 77-pound class.

Both won state titles in a novice tournament on Sunday in the same age and weight classes.

 

College Basketball

Two suites available for RMAC Shootout

 

Two suites at Brownson Arena are available for Friday’s RMAC Shootout women’s basketball games. The suites are $300 each and include 10 tickets, food, beer and Pepsi products. For information, call Jermaine Williams at 970-248-1879.

Tickets to the tournament are available at CMUtickets.com or by calling 1-800-410-MAVS. Doors open at 4 p.m. on Friday, 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
