Mesa women finish 11th in Texas

Colorado Mesa University shot three strokes better Tuesday, but stayed where it was in the team standings, finishing 11th in the two-day, 14-team Lady Buff Stampede women’s golf tournament hosted by West Texas A&M University.

The Mavericks finished with 685 strokes and Lubbock Christian University won with 619 at Tascosa Country Club in Amarillo, Texas.

Michelle Stripp paced Colorado Mesa’s quintet with a 162, shooting 81 each day to tie for 29th place. Jessica Sinner’s 166 was good for 43rd place, Zoe Woodworth shot a 173, Sarah Robbins a 184 and Summer Igo a 208 for the Mavericks.
