Fruita game moved to Saturday night
The heavy rain in recent days in the Denver area has led to the rescheduling of Fruita Monument’s Friday afternoon game against Eaglecrest to Saturday night.
Fruita Monument will face the Raptors at 7:30 p.m. at Legacy Stadium in Aurora.
Three GJ women to compete in Rocky Mountain Championships
Colorado Disc Sports Association is hosting the third annual Rocky Mountain Women’s Disc Golf Championships this weekend at the Colorado Heights University course in Denver.
Among the 128 women registered to compete are Grand Junction’s Lindsay Kester, Melissa Hein and Mallory Huismann. They compete in the intermediate division.
Five of the top six pro players in the world are slated to play, including Kristara Lee of Carbondale. She was a junior division world champion.
The tournament is one of the largest women-only events in Colorado, CDSA President Matt James said.
