Mesa teams place third in Mustang

The Colorado Mesa men’s golf team placed three in the top 15 and the women’s team three in the top 20 to each place third Tuesday in the Mustang Intercollegiate tournament in Albuquerque, N.M.

Brandon Bingamann placed fourth with a three-round score of 227 and Sean Robbins was fifth at 232, with Eric Farmer’s 239 good for 14th place. The Mavericks shot a team score of 942.

Jessica Berve placed third in the women’s two-round event, shooting a 163. Jennifer Hilts tied for 11th at 176 and Afton Balling tied for 19th at 182. The Mavs shot a 702 as a team.
