Prep Golf

Monday is first day of practice

The four Mesa County School District 51 schools have announced Monday is the first day of practice for boys golf.

Student-athletes at Grand Junction should meet at 9 a.m. in coach Tom LeFebre’s classroom (210) at the school, then begin tryouts at 11 a.m. at Lincoln Park.

Palisade will meet at 9 a.m. at Chipeta Golf Course for warm-up on the driving range, then play a round.

Central begins at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park Golf Course and Fruita Monument meets at 12:30 p.m. at Adobe Creek Golf Course, followed by a round.

All boys interested in playing must have their athletic contract, parent permission form, athletic fees and physical form signed by their physician completed before tryouts.
