Colorado Mesa stayed in the race for an RMAC playoff spot Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over Fort Lewis in Durango.

The Mavericks (11-16, 6-11 RMAC) need to beat Adams State on Saturday in the regular-season finale at Brownson Arena and need New Mexico Highlands to lose one of its two RMAC matches this weekend to earn one of four spots from the West Division.

Against the Skyhawks, Rebecca Sellers and Haleigh Higgins each had 15 kills in a 25-17, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17 victory.

Kelly Regimbal added seven kills and four aces for the Mavericks, who trailed only once in the three games they won, 1-0 in the fourth game.

Sunni Rae Baird had 41 assists, Megan Rush 14 digs and Kelley Johnson two solo blocks for Colorado Mesa.

Central High School graduate Ashley Wells led Fort Lewis (5-20, 2-15) with 14 kills.
