Texas A&M-Kingsville forces another game for region title

Texas A&M-Kingsville rallied to score two runs in the eighth inning to defeat Colorado Mesa 9-8 at Suplizio Field to force another game for the NCAA Division II South Central Region title.

Derrick Walls hit a two-out single to score Justin Lee for the go-ahead run.

The Javelinas bullpen limited Mesa to four runs on four hits. Denver Diefenbach picked up the victory.

Ryan Reno took the loss for the Mavericks. he allowed nine runs on nine hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Austin Wallingford was 2 for 3 with three RBI for Mesa.

The winner of the rematch advances to the NCAA Division II World Series May 24-31 in Cary, N.C.
