Mesa rallies from early deficit to beat Mines

Taylor Wagner saw it coming.
A short turnaround after sending shock waves through the conference with a 35-point win over the No. 5 team in the nation. It could have been a disastrous crash game.
“I was worried we were going to come out flat because of Saturday being so big, and we did,” Wagner said Tuesday after the Colorado Mesa women’s basketball team shook off an early 13-point deficit to beat Colorado School of Mines 73-63 in the quarterfinals of the RMAC Shootout. “The two things we talked about were don’t forget your defense, and rebound.”
