Sixth-graders aiming to bring glory back to De Beque hoops

In the tiny town of De Beque, it’s rare to see Brennan Rigsby Jr. or Wesley Ryan go anywhere without a basketball in hand.
It’s too early and not fair to say the two youngsters are the center of De Beque’s basketball future. But they just might be.
The Rigsby name to De Beque is part of small-town high school sports legend now.
A pair of brothers were pretty special in their day.
There’s a third-place state basketball trophy from 1997 when Brennan Rigsby was a senior and Brock was a junior. And there’s a Class 1A state title trophy from when Brock was a senior.
Little Brennan, as he’s known, and Wesley are hoping to leave their own mark on the high school courts someday.
