Nathan Lashley chips onto the 18th green at Tiara Rado in last year’s Rocky Mountain Open. The three-day pro-am tournament, which begins Aug. 14, increased the winner’s purse to $10,000 this year. Lashley won the tournament last year, but has yet to enter for this year’s event.

Proceeds from RMO will benefit CMU golf programs

The winner’s take from the Rocky Mountain Open golf tournament’s $40,000 purse has been increased $2,000 this year to $10,000.
But the real money winner this year and for years to come at the RMO will be the Colorado Mesa University golf programs.
The RMO’s board of directors, chaired by Monument Oil President Paul Brown and ANB Bank Regional President Vance Wagner, decided the proceeds from the annual pro-am tourney will go solely to the Colorado Mesa Golf Foundation.
