Cory DeRush started his college baseball career at Antelope Community College in Los Angeles before transferring to William Penn where he’s been a starting outfielder for the past two seasons. The Grand Junction High School graduate leads the Statesman in several offensive categories.

Cory DeRush can’t imagine not playing baseball.
DeRush’s journey in the game started when he was swinging for the fences as a 5-year-old at Monument Little League. It might end with his final game for William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa next month.
DeRush is a senior for the Statesman and is having a solid season, hitting .351 and leading the team in hits, runs, total bases and RBI.
