Jones leads comeback to snap skid

They are out of playoff contention, but the Grand Junction Rockies didn’t quit.
Grand Junction rallied from seven runs down to defeat the Orem Owlz 11-10 on Monday night at Suplizio Field. The Rockies (41-32, 18-17) equaled their largest comeback victory of the season.
“We play with heart,” Grand Junction catcher Hamlet Marte said. “We had six straight losses but we don’t care about that. We just play the game today. We have fun and just play baseball.”
Grand Junction’s victory snapped a six-game losing streak that cost it a chance of making the Pioneer League playoffs, but manager Anthony Sanders believed his team would still finish out the season playing hard.
