Rockies can't hold lead, lose another close one

Parker French pitched five solid innings for the Grand Junction Rockies on Sunday, and Michael Zimmerman was crisp after entering in the sixth for a piggyback start.
The Rockies, though, gave up two runs in the top of the ninth and lost yet another one-run game, 5-4 to Orem. Grand Junction has lost seven of eight games decided by one run.
Grand Junction (22-22 Pioneer League, 2-4 second half) led 4-3 through eight innings after Hunter Brothers pitched one smooth inning of relief.
Brothers struck out two without allowing a base runner, but was pulled because he will pitch in the Pioneer League-Northwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday.
