Pint showcases fastball prior to his 1st pro start on Friday

It’s not hype. Riley Pint’s fastball doesn’t just pop the catcher’s mitt — it explodes like a firecracker.
Friday, Pint gets the ball in his first professional game for the Grand Junction Rockies.
“I’m really antsy,” the first-round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies said Monday afternoon after throwing live batting practice for the first time. “I’ve been here for about two weeks now and I’ve been wanting to get out there every day since. I can’t wait for Friday.”
