Managing the business and financial operations of the company.
After graduating from Indiana State University with a BS degree in Accounting in 1983 and an MBA in 1987, Sheryl obtained her CPA license in 1988.
Sheryl worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Atlanta and New York City, Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta, and the newspaper and cable divisions of Cox Enterprises in Atlanta before starting her dream job as CFO of The Daily Sentinel in April 2005.
Sheryl grew up in rural Illinois and began her newspaper career in junior high school, delivering the Danville Commercial News to buy a 10-speed bike. She married her high school sweetheart, Brent, in 1981 and they have a son, Forrest, attending Colorado State University and a daughter, Olivia, attending Grand Junction High School. Sheryl enjoys “family road trips, chocolate, reading, vinyasa yoga, chocolate, porching with friends and family, spoiling her dogs and chocolate.”
