Along with one other member of the news desk team, edits and designs all work that can loosely be defined as advance.
Attended college in East Texas a long, long time ago.
Brian started his journalism career at The Lufkin (Texas) News, which was for a number of years a sister publication of The Daily Sentinel. He’s had a first-hand look at how newspapers have been produced going back more than 40 years. The words that made up the first sports story he wrote were set in lead type. The words you are now reading are part of the digital world. One thing has been constant, though. Either method can product a mistake. It has always been his mission to fix those mistakes.
Brian’s favorite fun-time activity is golf. He also likes woodworking, gardening and cooking.
