One person is dead after an early morning crash on U.S. Highway 50.
A spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol said two vehicles were involved in the accident, but the crash is believed to have been initiated by the rollover of a pickup truck.
The 51-year-old male driver of the truck was killed in the incident, according to the CSP.
A 22-year-old woman was in the second vehicle, but the CSP could not immediately provide any information about whether or not she was injured.
CSP was alerted to the crash at 5:40 a.m. It occurred at mile marker 48, four miles north of the Bridgeport turn-off along Hwy. 50.
The road was completely closed for hours, but reopened to traffic in both directions just before 9:45 a.m. CSP was still on-scene investigating late this morning.
