Six people were arrested today after federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conducted a sweeping narcotics operation across Mesa County.
Martin Acosta, 50, Armando Hernandez, 27, Armando Bandomo, 51, Yoan Esquarosa-Aguila, 40, George Albino Gonzales, 71, and Alvaro Gonzalez-Molina, 43, were arrested on suspicion of intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture marijuana and cultivation of marijuana.
They could face more charges as the investigation continues and more arrests are likely, law enforcement officials said.
Nearly 200 law enforcement personnel were involved in the raids of 13 homes where officials seized more than 1,000 marijuana plants and 90 pounds of cultivated product.
The operation was the result of a four month investigation by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and was completed in collaboration with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Junction Police Department and other agencies.
