6th Annual Habitat Mesa County Benefit Concert, with EXIT 42 and Morgan Crouse
All sales from the concert (tickets and beverages) benefit Habitat for Humanity’s aim in bringing people together by helping families and individuals afford to build a place to call their home.
When: Friday, August 23, 2019. Gates open 6PM. Concert begins 6:30PM and ends 9:30PM

What’s better than great music? Helping people to afford and build places they can call homes. On Friday, August 23rd, you can do both. Raise money and awareness and groove to finest local musicians, Exit 42 with opening act Morgan Crouse at the 6th Annual Benefit Concert for Habitat for Humanity Mesa County. The family friendly event is filled with fun activities plus a Raffle, and nestled in the beautiful Western Colorado Botanical Gardens in Grand Junction.
Habitat for Humanity has been around since 1977, during which it has partnered with volunteers and organizations and built homes for more than one million families or nearly seven million people — but that’s not all. Habitat has developed local chapters, called affiliates, to maintain support and charitable work at the community level. Which means, right here in Mesa County, your local Habitat affiliate has been busy partnering with volunteers, donors and Habitat homeowners to build, renovate and repair more than 77 homes locally.
“Right now, there is a critical need for affordable housing in Mesa County”, Says Janet Brink, Executive Director of Habitat Mesa County, “Through events like our annual benefit concert, and partnering with sponsors like Alpine Bank, we are raising awareness about our impact in the lives of hardworking families and individuals who need a place to call home."
Nearly 19 million households across the United States are spending at least half of their income on a place to live, often forgoing basic necessities such as food and health care to make ends meet. In Mesa County, affordable housing market continues to remain out of reach for many people. "Habitat works to solve the affordability problem", According to Kirk Granum, Operation Manager of Habitat of Mesa County, “We invest in people who wouldn’t qualify to buy houses through the traditional lending models by offering affordable mortgage options and participating in the building of their own home.”
Habitat of Mesa County embodies the true meaning of bringing people and business sponsors together to help build homes, communities and hope.
