“I have learned so much from all
our volunteers on this incredible
journey. It’s the camaraderie,
compassion and common purpose
that brings these amazing people
together to build our dreams.”
– Habitat homeowner.
Habitat for Humanity of Mesa
County was founded in 1991
by a group of local volunteers.
Since the beginning we have
been building homes alongside
deserving, hard-working families
who just need a hand up, not
a handout, to make their lives
better and to escape the cycle
of poverty. To date, we have
provided 75 families in Mesa
County the opportunity for
home-ownership.
Habitat for Humanity of Mesa
County is part of a global,
nonprofit housing organization
operated on Christian principles
that seeks to put God’s love
into action by building homes,
communities and hope. We
are dedicated to eliminating
substandard housing by
constructing homes and advocating
for fair and just housing policies to
help families improve their shelter
conditions. Habitat for Humanity
was founded on the conviction
that every man, woman and child
should have a durable place to live
in dignity and safety.
All who believe that everyone
needs a decent, affordable
place to live are welcome to
help with our work, regardless
of race, religion, age, gender,
political views or any of the
other distinctions that too often
divide people. In short, Habitat
welcomes volunteers and
supporters from all backgrounds
and also serves people in need of
decent housing regardless of race
or religion.
The Habitat ReStore serves to
support our mission by funding
operational costs through your
donations and purchases. At the
ReStore, you can find one of-akind items that will become your
treasures while knowing you are
furthering building homes for
Mesa County residents in need.
The ReStore is open Monday –
Saturday 9:00-5:00.
