The Zesty Moose, Grand Junction’s
original handcrafted Seasoning Blends
and Spice Company, was established
in October 2007. A small quaint little
kitchen built inside of their garage is
where the passion began for owners
Diana and Brian Tap. It was nearly a
decade ago when they noticed an
increase in the consumer’s demand
for Specialty Food Products that are
FREE of fillers,preservatives, MSG
and other hidden ingredients. Today,
The Zesty Moose Brand offers over
55 dried herbs and spices filled
fresh. Bring back the jar and save
$1 on all refills. Choose from over
65 different Seasoning Blends, BBQ
Rubs,Finishing Salts, Hot Sauces, and
Estate Olive Oils and Vinegars. Spices
are hand ground daily and mixed in
small batches while each blend is
carefully crafted and uses the highest
quality herbs and spices sourced
from local and regional farmers,
growers and producers,proudly grown
in the USA.
The Zesty Moose products were
only available online and sold through
a few local shops in town. They
now sell to an increasing number
of specialty shops, wineries, olive
oil stores, and small independent
markets throughout the US.
The business has since expanded
considerably and recently moved its
facility into a 3,000 square foot
building which includes 700 square
feet of commercial kitchen space.
The Zesty Moose opened a Retail
Marketplace in Historic Downtown
Grand Junction in May of 2017. The
building has a lot of history, once
a blacksmith/carriage shop,built
in 1905. Brian and Diana spent 2
years renovating the old Shoe Man
building and wanted to create a rustic
industrial lodge feel inside and out.
The most recent addition is their
Shiras Winery and Wine Bar. Their
brings the first Winery, Tasting Room
and Sales Room to Downtown Grand
Junction. Adding the winery was part
of the original Marketplace concept.

Wines including their own Craft
Wines. Enjoy Wine Tasting by the

at the Wine Bar. Charcuterie plates
and small bite fare are offered and
