Area holiday craft shows, bazaars planned

Here are details on some of the holiday arts and craft shows and bazaars happening in the area:

■ A craft fair will take place during Grand Junction High School's Swinging Sweets event from 5–10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in the school auditorium, 1400 N. Fifth St.

Local artists will sell crafts and unique gifts, food and goodies. A fun holiday and jazz concert presented by Grand Junction High School band and jazz bands will take place during the event. Call 254-6900 for information.

■ Calvary Chapel will host a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at 492 Morning Glory Lane, behind the Fruitvale Post Office.

The bazaar features a variety of vendors and direct sales company vendors, a coffee shop, bake sale and soup bar. There also will be a bake sale and free cookie decorating station for children. Call 243-2579 for information.

■ The city of Delta Recreation Department's annual Holiday Craft Fair will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta.

More than 75 vendors will be at the event. Call 874-0923 for information.

■ A Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Rifle Middle School, 753 Railroad Ave., in Rifle.

The event is part of the Hometown Holiday events in Rifle, featuring arts and crafts vendors. Call 970-625-2085 or email events@riflechamber.com.

■ A Christmas Craft Fair will take place Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, at Heart of Junction Church, Fourth Street and Hill Avenue. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

All proceeds will benefit She Has a Name, a local nonprofit organization working to end childhood prostitution. Go to shehasaname.info for information.
