Oh, horror! And screaming! The Moab Film Festival is ready to offer frightening films and you can be part of the audience.

The festival screenings will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29–30, at Star Hall, 159 E. Center St., in Moab, Utah.

“The Canyonlands,” a horror film about a rafting trip on the Colorado River that becomes deadly, will be shown on Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The 10 films selected for the Moab Monster Movie Mash will be shown on Saturday. Each film is 10 minutes or less and fits one of five genres, such as a curse in the hills, ghosts, beasts and so on. A Q&A will follow the screening.

Admission is free to these screenings on either day. This festival is put on by the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission and Filmulate.
