Finger-style guitarist will be featured at Two Rivers

At A Sweet Night with Billy Dean, you can expect intimate seating, a concert by the aforementioned country singer and finger-style guitarist and mini desserts to savor.

A Sweet Night with Billy Dean is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $45 and offer a seat at one of the tables that will surround the stage, table-side cocktail service and mini desserts. Tickets can be purchased at monumentaltix.com.

Currently living in Nashville, Dean is actually a Florida native who "was raised appreciating the value of music and has a diverse array of musical influences," according to BillyDean.com.

"After attending college on a basketball scholarship, Billy moved to Nashville in 1983 and by 1990 had recorded his first Top 5 Hit 'Only Here For A Little While,'" the website says.

Through the years Dean's music has been featured in television shows and made-for TV movies and his award resume is impressive, including the Academy of Country Music's Song of the Year in 1991 for "Somewhere In My Broken Heart" and American Country Music Awards' New Male Vocalist of the Year in 1992.

Dean has eight studio albums and five compilation albums and most recently founded his own publishing company named BDMG (Billy Dean Music Group).
