Big name country acts will converge on the Grand Valley's west side during the 28th annual country music festival in the desert: Country Jam.

Founded in 1992, Country Jam came to the Grand Valley "after the promoters successfully produced a country music festival by the same name in Eau Claire, Wisconsin," according to countryjam.com.

Jam Ranch in Mack was selected as the festival site, and "one of Colorado's biggest parties was born," countryjam.com says. More than 90,000 people attended Country Jam in 2017 and 2018.

This year's festival audiences will hear music by a slew of acts including headliners Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and Alabama.

Country Jam will open Wednesday, June 12, with music on The Stage at Western Slope Saloon from 6–10:30 p.m. for those arriving to set up in the campground. The festival continues through Sunday, June 16.

Ticket options for the festival range from general admission weekend and single day tickets starting at $129, weekend campsites starting at $250 and VIP weekend experiences starting at $815.

Shuttle and "Festi-Cab" information, food vendors, retail merchants and all the do's and don'ts you need to know, plus a detailed schedule of shows can be found at countryjam.com.
