Music Scene: Gingerbomb and other area shows for July 26–Aug. 1

Special to the Sentinel GINGERBOMB

Cosmopolitan magazine reported in 2017 that less than 2% of the world's population is graced with red hair.

Against those odds, five red-headed and seasoned musicians got together that same year to form the all-ginger supergroup named Gingerbomb.

During its "The Company Tour," the rock/country/folk quintet will bring a number of shows to Colorado venues, among them a show from 7:30–9 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Cavalcade, 201 E. Aspen Ave., in Fruita.

The band's members are Denver native Megan Burtt (vocals, guitar); Zach Berkman (vocals, guitar, mandolin, engineer) from New York City; Sara Dee (vocals, keys) from Los Angeles; Casey Sidwell (all things bass) from Denver and Ryan Vaughn (percussion) from Los Angeles and New York City.

The single "Wildfire" was released by Gingerbomb in 2018 and is from the band's upcoming album. It can be heard at

Tickets to this Cavalcade show cost $15 and can be purchased at Call 260-5413 for show information.
