Aaron and Casey are out for a casual drink at a New York restaurant. He has never been on a blind date before, she is a "serial-dater."

As the date unfolds, "the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening. In a delightful and unexpected twist, Casey and Aaron's inner critics take on a life of their own when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines," according to a news release from Colorado Mesa University.

This musical comedy will be performed by at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 19–21 and Sept. 26–28, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 28.

Performances will be at Robinson Theatre in the CMU's Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

Tickets cost $22 fir adults, $18 for seniors, CMU faculty members and staff or $8 for students. Season tickets for CMU's department of theatre arts's 2019–20 theatre and dance season also are available.

With music composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of the Swedish pop group ABBA, the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship.

The Magic Circle Players will present this musical at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13–14, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Magic Circle Theater, 420 S. 12th St., in Montrose.

Additional performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20–21 and Sept. 27–28, and at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 and Sept. 29.
