This play by Lee Blessing was first performed in Minneapolis in 1985.
"Eleemosynary" won the prestigious Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award in 1997 for its insightful study of the interactions among three generations of the Wesbrook family: an older, eccentric woman, her daughter and granddaughter.
In his examination of their relationships with one another, Blessing illustrates the tensions that can stress a family to its breaking point.
This production will be presented by Zephyr Stage and features Carrie Benham, Valerie Nuzzo and Raquel Benham.
Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 5–6, at Cavalcade, 201 E. Aspen Ave., in Fruita.
