Geek Parties of the Grand Valley will present this Shakespearean farce as part of its Summer Shakespeare Series on Thursday, June 13 at the KAFM Radio Room, 1310 Ute Ave.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the curtain will go up at 6:30 p.m.

The plot follows Hero a week before her wedding. Hero and her groom-to-be, Claudio, team up with his commanding officer, Don Pedro, in a match-making scheme. Their targets are the sharp-witted duo Benedick and Beatrice, who both have a distaste for love and each other.

The Youth Theatre at Magic Circle Players will present this play at 7 p.m. Friday, June 7 and June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at Magic Circle Theater, 420 S. 12th St., in Montrose.

Matinee performances will be at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 8–9 and Saturday, June 15.

The short play is a "fast and furious collection of fractured fairy tales with a modern twist," detailing what happens when the Big Bad Wolf decides not to be big or bad anymore, according to theatricals company Samuel French Inc.

AC Theater, a newly formed theater group in Delta, will present the two-act play based on characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and written by Jaime L. Robedo, an acclaimed Los Angeles based playwright and director.

Characters include Sherlock Holmes, Professor James Moriarty, Sigmund Freud, Queen Victoria, Miss Irene Adler, Mycroft Homes and Mary Morstan Watson.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 7–8, and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Delta Center for Performing Arts, 822 Grand Ave., in Delta.
