Daze to remember

There is still time to get a raffle ticket and your foot in the door at KAFM Radio Daze, a fundraiser for the KAFM 88.1 Community Radio that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Radio Daze will be from 2–9 p.m. Saturday at Edgewater Brewery, 905 Struthers Ave. Admission is free.

The specially brewed 300 Watt Ale will be on tap for the afternoon and evening with all of the proceeds supporting KAFM.

The event's music line up will feature The Jocelyn and Chris Arndt Band, Reverend Freakchild, Union of None, Feeding Giants, Dubious Brothers and Sir Kempson.

Mixed in with all that will be the announcement of the raffle winners. Prizes include tickets to see Mark Knopfler at Red Rocks Amphitheater and items and gift certificates from area business.

Raffle tickets cost $10 for one or $50 for three and can be purchased at KAFM, 1310 Ute Ave.

For information about KAFM and this event, go to kafmradio.org.

(Tip: Start the party early at a concert with Reverend Freakchild at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the KAFM Radio Room, 1310 Ute Ave. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at kafmradio.org or by calling 241-8801.)
