As the snow gathers in the high country, get inspired to ski or ride with Warren Miller's "Timeless."
This 70th anniversary film will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 at ticketmaster.com or the Avalon Theatre box office.
Two Colorado spots are among those highlighted in segments of "Timeless": Silverton Mountain, "the ultimate powder seeker's dream," with featured athletes Connery Lundin, Lorraine Huber and Jaelin Kauf; and Eldora Mountain outside of Nederland with featured athletes Christian Lovenskiold and Cooper Branham.
Other spots in the film are: Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Chamonix, France; Switzerland; Bella Coola, British Columbia, Canada; "Wiegele World" in Blue River, British Columbia, Canada.
Along with seeing "Timeless," moviegoers will receive discounts on lift tickets, gear and more.

Enjoy the sweetness of chocolate while taking in local art during the 11th annual Art & Chocolate Walk in Palisade.
This event goes from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at participating shops and galleries in downtown Palisade. As you go from location to location nibbling chocolate and — hopefully! — finding Christmas gifts, get a punch card stamped by businesses and be entered to win a gift basket.

Hotel Colorado is making merry in the holiday season with the Winter Wonderland Series.
These free events are from 6–8 p.m. the first three Thursdays in December. There will be caroling by local school choirs and cookies, hot cocoa and cider in the hotel lobby followed by the showing of a classic Christmas in the Roosevelt Room.
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" will be shown Thursday, with the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on Dec. 12 and "The Polar Express" on Dec. 19.
