Palisade church plans holiday cantata

In conjunction with the Town of Palisade's Olde Fashioned Christmas, Palisade United Methodist Church, 365 Main St. in Palisade, will host an open house Dec. 7.

"Coats, Cookies and Community Christmas Cantata" includes the open house from 10 a.m.–3 p.m., featuring a sidewalk winter clothing giveaway and bake sale. The free community Christmas cantata is at 1 p.m.

Message focuses on adapting to change

Roger Teel, the senior minister at Mile Hi Center for Spiritual Living in Denver, will deliver the message on Sunday at Center for Spiritual Living Grand Junction, 251 Colorado Ave.

Teel's topic will deal with changes and how to adapt to them. Meditation is at 9:15 a.m. and services are at 10 a.m.

Storehouse Gospel to present concerts

Storehouse Gospel Quartet will present two Christmas concerts in the coming weeks.

Concerts are at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Connection Church, 655 N. First St., Unit A, and at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Fruita Faith Baptist Church, 180 S. Elm St., in Fruita.

PAWS for a blessing service scheduled

The PAWS Ministry of Church of the Nativity will have its monthly PAWS for a Blessing Service at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church, 2175 Broadway.

All furry friends, hoofy friends, feathery friends, slithery friends, fishy friends, etc., are welcome, along with their human companions. If it is more practical, please bring photos of your animal(s) instead.
