To the people who make up the beautiful and unique community of the Grand Valley, thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to tell your stories, inviting me into your homes, lives and hearts.
Thank you for saying "Hi" to me while I was on assignments and the kind words you shared.
Thank you for making me feel welcome and giving me the opportunity to capture and share the moments and people that make this community one of a kind.
I cannot say all the photos I captured were happy. Many were devastating. My job as a photojournalist is to document the human experience, good and bad, happy and sad, and everything else between.
It is not easy to take photos of deaths, fires and accidents. It is the hardest part of the job, however, it is important.
I fell in love with this community, and was honored to be a part of it. But life's chapters end and new ones begin. And I must leave for an opportunity at The Colorado Springs Gazette.
Farewell and best wishes to all of you. The ride has been an extraordinary one. Thank you.
