Favorite teacher and why: Phyllis Janssen is by far one of the most dedicated teachers and kindest person I have ever met.
Personal hero and why: My personal hero is one of my best friends Byron Thurston, because he preservers through any adversity.
Preferred college: Colorado Mesa University
Dream job: Trauma surgeon and President of the United States.
Highlight of your high school experience: The highlight of my high school experience was all the times I had the privilege to experience so many things such as a poetry performance, leadership seminars, counselor for outdoor camps and student groups.
Q: What accomplishment are you the most proud of?
A: The accomplishment I'm the most proud of is the Green Team Initiative, which has lead to a national school award, and a strong student lead group.
Q: If you were the principal of your high school for a week, what would you do or change?
A: If I were principal of my high school for the week I would attempt to change the community's attitude about each other. I would promote teamwork, student initiative and teacher voice.
Q: If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would you choose and why?
A: If I could have dinner with one person it would undoubtedly be Georges Seurat or Giorgione. Both Seurat and Giorgione have amazing artwork and would provide an interesting perspective on life and future/present compared with the past.
Q: If you could live anywhere or do anything for one year, what would you do and why?
A: For one whole year, I would love to travel the world, try all types of food and hike every single place I go.
Q: What advice would you give to yourself as a freshman?
A: The advice I would give myself as a freshman is to simply let no one limit you, not even yourself.
