Favorite band or musician: Drake
After-school activities: Computer Programming Club, Olympic-style weightlifting and spending time with friends or family.
Parents: Dag and Deanne Adamson
Favorite teacher and why: Mr. Couch is my favorite teacher because he has a very inspirational backstory and has overcome some very tough challenges. He works hard to instill some of that inspiration into his students.
Personal hero and why: Arnold Schwarzenegger. He demonstrates that with a strong will and hard work it is possible to achieve your goals no matter how difficult they are to achieve.
Preferred college: California Polytechnic State University
Dream job: I want to create and run a successful business.
Highlight of your high school experience: Becoming friends with some of the most awesome people I have ever met. They have shaped me as a person and supported me through some very rough times.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Earlier this year I tore a ligament in my right knee. I have had a long road to recovery but I am finally at full strength and able to do all the activities that I want to.
Q: If you were the principal of your high school for a week, what would you do or change?
A: I would reorganize the freshman schedule so it's the same as all the other classes. When I was a freshman our schedules were the same and I didn't think it was an issue at all. The recent change that made it so their bell schedule was different seems to just confuse things.
Q: If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would you choose and why?
A: I would choose Chuck Norris so that I can tell people that I've eaten dinner with Chuck Norris. That would definitely be something that I would never forget.
Q: If you could live anywhere or do anything for one year, what would you do and why?
A: I would live in a big city like Los Angeles or New York so I can understand what that's like. I don't really know because I've lived in Grand Junction pretty much my whole life.
Q: What advice would you give to yourself as a freshman?
A: I would advise myself be more outgoing. I would tell myself to take advantage of some of the clubs and extracurricular activities at my school. Also, try to stop worrying so much about my future and just stop and smell the roses every once in a while.
