■ Trace Levinson of Fruita, a 2016 graduate of Palisade High School, was named to the 2019 winter quarter dean's list at Denver University. He is a computer science major with a math minor and will graduate from DU in June.

■ University of San Diego student Elisse Etcheverry of Grand Junction participated in the USD Career Development Center's signature Torero Trek program last month. It offered the opportunity to network with employers and Torero alumni with the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Dodgers.

■ Caleb Kostreva of Clifton, a member of the Christian Association of Student Leaders committee at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, welcomed more than 200 student representatives to campus in January for the 2019 association's conference.

■ Ryan Bowen, a 2017 Grand Junction High School graduate, was selected as one of seven distinguished Air Force ROTC graduates from field training preparation this spring at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University-Daytona. A sophomore majoring in aerospace engineering, Bowen also received The National Sojourners Award, which recognizes cadets who are in the top 25% of the academic class, have encouraged and demonstrated the ideals of Americanism by deed or conduct, and have demonstrated outstanding leadership. He was also honored with the Air Force ROTC Cadet of the Year Award last spring as a freshman.
