Connections Academy gathers for picnic

Colorado Connections Academy sponsored a back-to-school picnic Sept. 17 at Long Family Memorial Park to bring together students who are educated through the online learning environment.

"Even though Colorado Connections Academy students log on to school, they have opportunities to connect face-to-face throughout the year," a news release said.

The picnic included games and activities, as well as the school's staff members visiting with students and families who have found success with the tuition-free online school that serves Colorado students in grades K-12.
