■ Delta residents Emily Huene, Jacob R. Huene and Michael S. Huene were named to the spring 2019 semester president's list at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

■ Area students were named to the 2018–19 dean's list of distinction at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

Caprock partners with college

Caprock Academy and St. John's College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, have created a partnership in the Southwest Scholars Partnership Program.

"In creating this partnership opportunity, St. John's allows regional high schools access to a variety of training and visits for teachers and promotes liberal arts education across the region," a news release said.

Caprock Academy seniors will have the opportunity to earn a $20,000 scholarship to attend St. John's as an undergraduate student, and all Caprock Academy High School students will have the opportunity to earn a full tuition, one-week scholarship to participate at the St. John's College Summer Academy.

Palisade band plans car show

Palisade High School Band will sponsor a car show during the Palisade Peach Festival from  9 a.m.–2 p.m. Aug. 17 at Peach Bowl Park, 567 W. Fifth St. in Palisade.

Registration is $20 for one vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle. All proceeds will go directly to the band.

Riverside seeking tutors

Riverside Education Center is seeking volunteers for its structured after-school tutoring and enrichment activities for K-12th grade students.

Volunteers commit to one day per week for one to two hours after school. A one-hour volunteer training is provided.
