Stolen car, fake drugs found
A Grand Junction police officer using a license-plate reader found a stolen vehicle in a parking lot at an apartment complex on Orchard Avenue.
The vehicle was listed as stolen within the Grand Junction Police Department's jurisdiction, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police waited in the area and arrested 18-year-old Jaden Bilbrey, the affidavit said.
Burglary tools and a white crystalline substance packaged in plastic baggies was allegedly found in the stolen vehicle.
Bilbrey told police the substance was ice cream salt, the affidavit said.
He was charged with motor vehicle theft and imitation of controlled substances.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Vincente Herrera, 30, was cited on suspicion of DUI in the area of Fourth and Main streets on Saturday.
■ Trevor Tracey, 29, is accused of drug possession on Saturday.
■ Luis Corral-Suarez, 26, is accused of DUI in the area of Fifth and Main Street on Sunday.
