Charges arise from crash

One of the drivers in a two-car crash Tuesday reportedly ran from the scene of the accident, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The driver who allegedly fled after the crash at 32 and E roads was later identified as 34-year-old Cherilyn Castillo, according to an affidavit for her arrest.

Her driving status was reportedly revoked and she had two felony warrants out for her arrest.

She was charged with possession of a deadly weapon, among other charges, the affidavit said.

At her arraignment hearing on Wednesday, the judge set her bond at $10,000.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Patricia Walton, 69, is accused of third degree assault and harassment on Friday.

■ Elvia Guardado, 59, was cited on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving on Friday.

■ Vandon Sanchez, 27, is accused of burglary on Sunday.

■ Logan Emmert, 26, was cited on suspicion of DUI on Tuesday.

■ Benjamin Thorpe, 27, is accused of drug possession on Wednesday.

■ Kyra Workman, 27, is accused of drug possession on Wednesday.
