A man and woman have been arrested in relation to home burglary and a series of car break-ins at local trail heads.
Jared Balderston, 29, and Misty Winston, 38, were arrested by Mesa County Sheriff's Office deputies and face a litany of charges related to the alleged thefts, according to a release by the sheriff's office.
Investigators linked the suspects to the break-ins using records from stolen credit card purchases, pawn shop records and surveillance video. Balderston, and Winston are being held in the Mesa County jail.
■ John Lewandowski, 36, is accused of second-degree assault and received a $25,000 cash-only bond from Mesa County Court on Tuesday.
A Grand Junction resident reported to seeing Lewandowski and a woman fighting in a nearby parking lot and said Lewandowski hit her and attempted to take her bag away from her, according to the arrest affidavit. Medical personnel who treated the victim after the alleged incident reported she sustained serious bodily injury by facial trauma and a nasal bone fracture.
■ Henry Bostelman, 36, is accused of vehicular eluding and received a $1,000 cash-only bond on Tuesday.
When a police vehicle attempted to stop Bostelman on Nov. 4, he attempted to drive away before running away, according to the arrest affidavit.
