Isaiah Privette, 19, is accused of first-degree motor vehicle theft, among other charges, and received a $10,000 cash or surety bond on Thursday.
Grand Junction police officers were called to the 100 block of Miriam Avenue around 2 a.m. on Wednesday after someone reported he heard his pickup start up and saw it drive away, according to an arrest affidavit.
When police stopped the stolen vehicle, Gaven Pacheco, 24, was taken into custody, according to the arrest affidavit. He was charged with second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and conspiracy and received a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
As police approached the vehicle, the subjects inside jumped out and attempted to flee, including Pacheco, who was captured and taken into custody.
The driver at the time, later identified as Privette, was later found in a tree on the 600 block of 26 1/2 Road and taken into custody, the affidavit said.
■ Lorelei Brown, 39, is accused of second-degree assault and criminal mischief and received a $500 cash or surety bond on Thursday.
Brown was arrested in a domestic dispute where she allegedly caused $2,500 in damage and later bit one of the Mesa County Jail deputies while in custody, according to the arrest affidavit.
