Christopher Sisneros, 29, is accused of first-degree assault, among other charges, and received a $10,000 cash-only bond in Mesa County Court on Tuesday.
A Grand Junction resident reported a man, later identified as Sisneros, was threatening to kill her and trying to stab a postal carrier about 5:20 p.m. on Monday, according to an arrest affidavit.
When officers arrived, the carrier had Sisneros in a rear chokehold.
Sisneros resisted arrest and was eventually bitten by a canine officer before being detained, the arrest affidavit said.
n Omar Ponce-Campa, 25, is accused of driving under the influence and identity theft and received a $5,000 cash-only bond from the Mesa County Court on Monday.
Ponce was contacted by officers in the 700 block of Texas Avenue on Dec. 30, according to an arrest affidavit. He was allegedly asleep behind the wheel when officers approached the vehicle and the passenger side of the truck appeared to have sustained substantial damage, with pieces of fresh tree bark sticking on the doors and in the door handle.
Video evidence showed Ponce driving around Colorado Mesa University campus and hitting a tree, the affidavit said.
n Zachary Hart, 38, is accused of possession of weapons by a previous offender and received a $25,000 cash-only bond on Monday.
Hart was contacted by police Saturday and immediately took off running, according to the arrest affidavit.
Officers discovered he had a no bond warrant for his arrest out of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and he was found with a gun in his pocket, the affidavit said.
