Health exchange gets new board members
Connect for Health Colorado has two new members on its board of directors from the Grand Valley.
Board Chairwoman Adela Flores Brennan announced earlier this week that Hilltop Community Resources CEO Mike Stahl and Quality Health Network Executive Director Dick Thompson are joining the board.
Both are appointed to four-year terms.
"We welcome the depth of healthcare experience these appointments add to our board of directors and the problem-solving skills they bring to our leadership team," Flores-Brennan said in a press release.
Steve ErkenBrack, who recently stepped down as president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Health Plans, is one of three members leaving the board. ErkenBrack, along with the departing Nathan Wilkes, are the final members of the original Connect for Health Colorado board of directors. They were first appointed in 2011.
Jay Norris, an independent health insurance broker and co-founder of Colorado Health Insurance insider, is the third member to leave the board. One board position is still yet to be filled.
Connect for Health Colorado is the state's marketplace for individuals, families and small businesses to buy health insurance and apply for financial assistance. The board consists of nine voting members and three ex-officio members appointed by the state legislature and the governor.
