Climate panel at CMU on Thursday
State climate experts, Colorado Mesa University professors and students will speak about climate change at the university's first Grand Junction Climate Panel on Thursday.
The event, hosted by CMU's Sustainability Council and The Wilderness Society, a nonprofit conservation advocacy group, is "an opportunity for students and the community to hear facts straight from the source and engage in civic discourse," council spokesman Ian Thomas said in a statement.
Panelists will talk about "the validity of a changing climate, how it will affect western Colorado and what anyone can do to make a difference," Thomas said, and will also answer audience questions.
The panel will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballrooms.
